Me again the table above is mine , what i need to say is we are 1 month behind with the rent, and the eletric bill is high because we owe arrears on it.
It is me that has the debt not my partner, but i do owe her 3800 on her credit card but its in her name !!
I have been off work for the last 4wks recovering from op on both hands so im about 800 down already ( only get 75 sick pay ).
Thanks Jonny0 -
Jonny,
food seems high for 2 adults, one child and your car maintenence seems low for the amount of miles your petrol figure suggests.
You also have no payments listed for any of your creditors. Have you contacted them to say you are in financial bother??MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

Hi, The food is also all houes hold cleaning stuff etc, What sort of figure would look better ?
My partner is lucky she uses her mums car thats why petrol is high and maintenence is low its just for 1 car.. What figure can i put for car repairs ? it has never broke down yet !!
My head is pickled :-(0 -
Im paying £51 at the moment to dlc for my egg bills. I have only just had the other bills. I defaulted on a IVA and now my crediters are coming for me.0

first thing that strikes me is that you are paying more for groceries than rent!!
Me and OH spend around £20 a week on food and always have loads. Go down a brand foodwise, a lot of my food is value but I don't notice a difference, although my parents and sister are a bit snobby about it!
Go onto the oldstyle moneysaving boards.

If paying over 10 months, can you ask to pay it over 12?

You may be able to half this. Have a look at the old style board for meal plan ideas. Have you moved down a brand (shops own)?

Can't afford this right now.
You need to set up a repayment plan with your creditors, but i would advise contacting CCCS or Payplan to discuss the failed IVA and what impact this may have - also your reduced income right now.
Have you tried reclaiming charges for the bank accounts, loan and credit cards?
Were you possibly missold payment protection insurance (PPI) that you might be able to reclaim? After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Jonny - Its not about what figures look better its about what you need to spend. As an indication I have a 52 plate car, do around 6000 a year and am around £60 a month in fuel. Tyres alone for my car are between £75 and £145 each. MOT cert alone is £45 ish i think and you are only allowing £120 a year.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

have you checked whether your benefits (WTC, CTC) are increased because of your reduced income?
You need advice from a debt charity about the failed IVA.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi all, Iv just spoken to Eversheds solicitors ( working for my creditors ) and they have said i can pay them a final figuer of 2700. Was 4817 so they have come down alot.
Im going to ask my parents for the money ( they have offered to help ) . if they are going to pay that just leaves me with the Egg payment though dlc of 51 a week which i can afford- like many of you have said i need to cut down on food bill (it does seam alot but thats what we have been spending), perhaps i will lose my gut after all :-).
Has long as dlc dont want more later on , i think this is the best way out for me. (what do you think )
Many Thanks Jonny..0 -
You need to be absolutely certain that is a full and final settelemt. Anythign else and they can sell the debt on and the next DCA starts to claim off you.
You need it in writing before you pay a penny. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
