Interesting...Base Mortgage Rate is cheapest

As a Nationwide mortgage customer luckily on a tracker rate, which expires later in the year, I've just had a quick look at the rates now on offer. Amazingly their BMR is their cheapest rate at 2½%. Their BMR is 'guaranteed not to be more than 2% above the BoE base rate'. So if like me your mortgage is due for renewal soon check out your bank/BS base rate.

...and all the flexibility that goes with it - overpayments that you can reborrow, underpayments, payment breaks. Definitely a good mortgage for the rate at the mo.
