Where exactly is Homebase? Does anyone know?

Apparently there are two of them - their web site lists postcodes CR0 3NZ and CR0 4RG, but Google Local lists them as CR0 4NZ and CR0 3JP.

I don't have a car, and you have to be very patient to explore the area on foot - the size of the stores means that it's a long way from one store to the next, but it's definitely worth travelling there for bargains you don't get in the town centres. I've been to IKEA many times, and I once spotted an advertising board for Homebase at the Ampere Way tram stop, but I've never found either of them.

I'd like to compare prices of various general homewares and furniture in Homebase, IKEA and B&Q. Thanks.

I'd suggest you go to the Homebase near to five ways, although it's the smaller one of the two.. It's easier by bus, though, 157 runs right near it.

Actually, I'm not sure if that's much help! Let me know.

Homebase Is Near The Lombard Roundabout If You Carry On Down Purley Way Instead Of Going Down To Ikea Ampere Way Follow The Rd Down On Purley Way And Its Near Courts At The Back Of Ampere Way. Dont Know If There Is A Cut Though From Ikea. Hope That Helps And The Other One Is At The Five Ways On The Purley Way.

Is the other one near Wing Yip? i.e. near the furniture store, closest to the Hilton?

The other one is on Five Ways near the kitchen store?

You know i've lived in Croydon most of of my life, driven past both the Homebases hundreds of times, yet don't exactly know where they are!!!

Yes, the Five Ways store is quite near to Wing Yip. It's the smaller of the two and they were in the process of clearing out all their furniture ranges last time I looked. Didn't have very much stock really.

The other store near the Lombard roundabout is the larger of the two and has some building work going on in front of it at the moment (-I'm not sure if this is an extension for Homebase though.) If you only visit one this'll be the better bet.

When you come out of the tram stop onto the Purley Way, turn Left onto Purley Way heading towards Thornton Heath. You'll pass the Mercedes showroom, some warehouses, a Booker Cash 'n' Carry before you get to Homebase which is on the left hand side of the Purley Way. There used to be a Courts Furniture Store next door to Homebase - I don't know what it's been replaced with though! If you've walked all the way to the Lombard roundabout from the tram stop then you've gone too far!
