I have a T30 & it's not a bad laptop, but I use mine mainly for the internet.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I think T30s are great - I used them at my old job all the time. They are real workhorses. A couple of points to watch out for though: they only have 802.11b wireless built-in (i.e. 11 mbps) and there is what I would call a design weakness with them. Specifically, there are two RAM slots with an access hatch underneath and one of them can fail. I have seen this happen on numerous T30s (and been subject to it several times myself - I got through a lot of T30s!). They redesigned the hatch cover and the IBM engineers used to come out and fit a new main board. But if you are not travelling a lot (i.e. not moving it about a lot) then perhaps it wouldn't be such a problem.
All that said, I still have fond memories of these machines and would recommend them - especially for the price.

At least, It thought they were great until I got upgraded to a T43 :)

These are refurbs so the battery is likely to not hold a charge.

Also their refurbs aren't always in the best of condition.
