 I put this thread elsewhere by mistake first so apologies if you have read this before.
On 25th Feb I went onto the website of a certain online DVD rental company. I chose one of their cheapest deals (about £8.00 a month) then got a message saying I would be charged £30, which would come off my debit card. I was rather annoyed at this error and just cancelled my membership immediately. I got an e-mail confirmation that this had been done and that my card details had been removed from their records.
4 days later they took the £30 from my account! I rang up and asked for a refund. They said they would send a cheque refund but it would take 30 DAYS! I was a little bit miffed at this as it only took them 4 days to take money from me. I have written a letter of complaint to which I have not had a response, and no cheque has turned up as of yet. How can I go further with this and what can I do if they cheque doesn't arrive?
