Heard some of it, Fiend , got the gist. The advisors sounded like salesmen though, you know, scientists getting paid to solve problems,so have to have problems. If that chap had lost his job, that would have done the trick anyway.
Nowt like being poor to concentrate the mind, and reduce spending.0 -
I'll need to listen to it again - I was surprised at the amount of disruption and conflict that was in the programme. Conflict aside I think the advisors were maybe enjoying themselves a bit too much. Agree with the being poor concentrating the mind.0

It's not hard to get the gas and electric use below national average, just a bit of awareness, certainly no need to chuck money at gadgets.
With supermarkets and freezer centres seemingly on each corner , doubt if fridges and freezers are necessary, just don't buy perishable goods.
If peeps want fresh food, grow it otherwise choose tinned or dried. Down to habit.0 -
MY electric etc is below national average, we are a family of 6 with open fire and a multifuel cooker, use coal and our footprint is STILL below average. We have a car, and yes it is taken down the road to get milk because neither hubby and I can walk!
Strange how the disabled are non existant in all these ideas. (Yet to see a disabled family in a council house on it's not easy being green too)
George Monbiot is a hypocrite who thinks buses are fine for the unemployed but no good for him so he NEEDS a car and he thinks that him flying abroad will save the world!0
