    1. There are a number of new remedies coming on line in April 2009, for one.

    2. If he has been contributing to the housing costs, there is a risk that QL's mother will have to re-mortgage to buy out her ex's BI. They need proper advice before they do that.

    Should I send a token payment with the CCA letter and say that if all is in order he will continue to make token payments or should I make no mention of a payment!

    Send the £1 payment for the CCA. if you want to send another payment towards the account, send a separate letter.

    Send both registered post, so they have to sign for them.

    To be honest I don't think BR is the right way to go at this stage and I won't be mentioning it to him, however I do appreciate the thoughts of those who suggested it.
