low cost loan for home renovation?
I remember reading a brief mention somewhere - I think it may have been something written by Martin either here or in the MoneySaving Diet - that it is possible to get a low-cost, even interest-free loan to help with the costs of home renovation, particularly when the aim is to make the home more energy efficient. Does anyone know any more about this and which organisations I should contact?

Further to my last post, I tried a Google search and came up with a number of options. For those interested, the Energy Trust website looks to be a fairly comprehensive source of information on the numerous grants and discounts available to homeowners and tenants who want to make their homes more energy efficient. The grants would appear to be reserved for those on benefits or over 60 (which rules me out) but there are discounts and other money-saving incentives to be had.
