Direct Line Mortgage rate

Hi all,

New to site so go easy!

I am with direct line for my mortgage, I was on a fixed rate that came to an end late 2007. As the fixed rate has ended I'm now on their standard variable rate which is currently only 2%.

I'm not sure if new customers can get straight to the SVR morgtage or have to have a fixed deal first, but the 2% looks to be the best SVR I've seen around, so thought others may be interested.

  • With direct line you cannot just take out the SVR you have to take deal a first, so say a 2 year fixed then you go onto the SVR rate.
