memory stick duo 1GB for psp?

Hi ev1
Wondered if anyone can advise me on these. I have done a search on Amazon and found one for £38. yet when i asked in town they said they would cost at least £90.!
I really want to buy the correct one to put in the PSP and havent a clue if there is a difference. The link for the Amazon one is:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007LZGF6/qid=1140544327/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/026-1498183-0794061

(sorry about super long link!)

Thanks in advance to anybody that can help! ;)

you got the right one there!

Scandisk is prob better than Sony as it is faster.

Have you had a look on e-bay?? Now that you know which one you are looking for, it might be worth looking there ....

Yeah thats the one to buy, if you have a bit more money spare the 2GB versions are available I replaced my 1GB with a new 2GB for about £80 a few weeks ago from https://www.scan.co.uk it is much better as you can fit some larger files on there better quality video rips ect. iso's what ever you want to store.

Stay of ebay, there are lots of fake 1GB and 2GB sony duo cards available and the have data errors and fail most of the time, so far Sandisk cards havnt been faked yet.

Any Pro DUO card will fit they are the shorter cards the others are pro cards and are almost twice the lenght. the prices on the high street are for the un educated people with more money than sence buy online and save a fortune

I would go so far as to say that most on eBay are counterfeit. If you had genuine Memory Sticks, selling them on eBay would be extremely difficult, as you’d be completely undercut by all the counterfeit items. I think caution should also be applied when buying from Amazon’s Marketplace, rather than form Amazon themselves.

There are people out there on the Internet reporting the existence of even counterfeit Sandisk Memory Sticks.

MyMemory is another vendor whose prices you might like to compare against. They gave a good service to me recently. Their prices seem competitive, although they come into their own for smaller amounts of memory than you’re looking for. As they are in Jersey, you get anything with a pre-VAT price of less than £18 at that price, without VAT being added.
