In my boots if I use ie £5 skincare vouchers to pay at the end and the total is over £15 spent but the vouchers used bring the total of goods I have to actually pay cash for under £10 they will not give me anymore vouchers.
They stick very rigidly to this now.0 -

I bought Bodyform in Boots, removed vouchers and used them towards the next lot that I had in a second basket (children come in handy to carry these!), the SA even helped me! So not to worry, so long as you've paid the vouchers are yours to do with as you want, and if you want to get more free Bodyform then you are welcome! Unless of course they start limiting the number of sanitary products that any woman can purchase in a year or a shop! :rotfl:
Have also paid, removed vouchers/cut them from magazine, then used them on another product in Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury - have never had a problem, well I think I've probably annoyed a few people in the queue behind me, but it isn't illegal as long as you've paid for whatever the voucher came with.
Good job it isn't illegal, otherwise we'd have to ask to go to a prison with a Boots branch - do they have such a thing?
Edit: enjoy the makeover - if you go for a really dramatically different look the SA/security man won't recognise you!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Yes they do have a record of all transactions made on an AD card.
When I rang once to complain about having to pay for an extra set of prints from a CD machine at photo till, the CS asked me for the number at the bottom of the reciept.
When I told him the number, he recalled all the items on it one by one, asking if they were correct. (He also knew which stores I visit!)
I was surprised and asked if he knew what I was having for dinner that night! He laughed and said 'No, but if Boots sold food I could'.
Then he told me they keep a record history, but can only 'get into it' if they cross ref: it with till reciept and you've used your card.
So again, Yes they can ..................if you use your AD card.

One of the main reasons shops give advantage cards is to monitor our shopping habits so that they can keep ahead of their competitors. Tescos have been using the information they gather successfully for years and look how their business has rocketed.
I only use my Boots card if I will gain lots of extra points on a machine offer. I don't use them to buy Bodyform, etc, where I would only get a few points on a freebie. I'd rather keep some information on my shopping habits to myself. I also never used my card when cashing in any of the £5 Time Delay coupons. It's not worth making Boots suspicious without good reason IMHO.0
