Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 8..Read first post for current bargains

Hi everyone,
Today i decided i would venture to boots, I made a list of all the bargains and things to look for i must say i was feeling pretty confident :j . Made my way slowly round boots with my list picked up the Tixylix cough medicine for £.2.29 also had a parenting voucher for 50p off so only cost me £1.79 and i received 200 points. Had 6 £1 off bodyform vouchers but there were no more packs with the coupons on so i left them (decided to visit Tesco with them on the way home). Went to have a nosy at the baby food as I read on here some were reduced picked up 18 jars which had been reduced to between 27pence and 7 pence. Picked up a couple of other things i needed for baby to take it up to £10 paid and received my £5 No 7 voucher and 245 points (not alot i know).
The plan was to visit the AC machine for transaction No. 2 Skin clear voucher, got to the machine and the SA watched me fiddle about in my purse for my other card (have 2) trying to control 2 under 2's and i looked up to see a big sign on the machine saying Out Of Order  ! To make it worse they had loads of skin clear masks.
So on my first attempt of being a boots tart i failed i'm afraid.0 -

I only use my Boots card if I will gain lots of extra points on a machine offer. I don't use them to buy Bodyform, etc, where I would only get a few points on a freebie. I'd rather keep some information on my shopping habits to myself. I also never used my card when cashing in any of the £5 Time Delay coupons. It's not worth making Boots suspicious without good reason IMHO.
Well if that's the case... get your receipts validated ... That way you can get the points added onto the card at a later date ("within 30 days"). Because its just a code that boots use to know how many points you are owed, they won't be able to gather any information on your shoppping habits. (All the validated codes are generic and apply to everyone who has their receipts validated...)
So if you don't want boots to know your shopping habits...get those receipts validated soon!! You won't miss outBoots do though :rotfl:

I went to Boots at lunchtime to exchange a jar of TD night cream, which I bought using the £5 TD voucher a couple of weeks back. I realised I had a stock of night cream and could do with a spare day moisturiser. As the TD range is on a discount at the moment, together with some other facial care ranges (I did not know anything about this, and I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet) I got a refund of £3, so my moisturiser only cost £2. I will be returning the other TD night cream I don't need, to exchange for something I do need, but I am not sure what that is. All thanks to MSEr's, I have quantities of No 7 wipes, TD wipes, hand creams, moisturisers, both day and night, and enough bodyform for my daughter for a long time. By the way, I did not get any bodyform in Boots as they had none with the vouchers.
I added a couple of packs of throat lozenges, so my actual refund was £0.02, but I got 39 points added!0 -

Doesn't sound like a failure to me - you got loads of stuff plus the skincare voucher and definitely didn't pay full price. I wish I could say that I was always that successful! :eek:In a Den first, Theo Paphitis has been getting business information from a talking tree.0 -

As far as I know they aren't included in the BOGOF offer.. same online as instore. They are however displayed with the other items in the offer and look to be included, are people getting them as BOGOF or questioning being charged for 2 and getting one free
i also picked them up in liverpool , bogof with my £5 vouucher so only cost 50 p :j :j :j0 -
One of my lovely friends at work has just given me her £5 No7 voucher because she won't use it.:j:j:j:j:j:j
I really want to get the lilac bag. What's the best way to use this voucher?0 -
I just bought the No7 Body Buffer (Exfoliating product), its £5.50 and BOGOF therefore I only paid 50p total for the two using a No7 voucher.
I bought nappies too as I thought this would conceal my bargain incase I got a crabby SA.
Boots Own Brand Nappies, the small pack (quantity varies depending on size of nappy) are £4.47 but buy two for £7.50. With AD points I think this makes them cheaper than Asda/Tescos own. I wasn't able to carry two packs so missed out on a good buy.
I mentioned the other day that I inhertited my Grans AD card. I think I'm going to keep this for printing out vouchers but put them through with my card. I'm hoping that there will be better offers on it to tempt me to shop. There was a 75pt coupon for a £10 spend on it but I haven't had one of these.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -
