Main residence in Scotland - Live in London

Hi all,

I want to buy a property in Scotland as a residence around the corner from a buy-to-let I own. I will continue to live & work in London but I require a pad to crash at as I'm planning several other property purchases for buy-to-let up there over 10 years.

An adviser said Halifax would be best but when I spoke to them they started asking about radius to work. I panicked and said it wasn't finalised yet but I would have no problem moving up there, I asked her what would happen if not and she said it would be passed to a specialist team to see if it is allowed??

This is after all the credit checks and application stage.

Any good advisers / experienced posters out there that know Halifax criteria?

Would this be ok?
