I think I would be more willing to combine our finances if we had been living together for longer or if we had more plans for the future... It is not like I think we'll break up or anything, but we've been living together for less than a year and we don't talk much about the future etc (he is still in the boy stage of no commitment) For some weird reason, I'm overly cautious with money in that way but not when it comes to debt! It is something I'll think about. I already pay all car costs, so I might adopt another bill.
I've been looking around on this site, and I'm really tempted to try to claim my bank fees bank. I must have paid them a small fortune in charges over the years. I'm a bit scared that if I ask they will take away my overdraft though...Impending doom! :eek:0 -
I'm one of the many in the system for reclaiming bank charges and it didn't affect my accounts at all. I think that it would be deemed as unfair if they changed your account or T's & C's because you were reclaiming. Check on the 'bank charges' board for clarification.0

I've had a look on the bank charges board and they agree with what you that they couldn't take the overdraft away. It seems to be quite a lengthy process anyway, so I may as well start as soon as possible!
I've spoken to the loan company and I need to write a letter to be able to cancel the insurance. I guess recorded delivery is the way to go? The paperwork I received with the loan seems to say that nearly 2k of the total repaid is for the insurance :eek:Impending doom! :eek:0
