bloomin CitiCards are gonna get it now!!

Just had a call from CitiCards at work, I recognised the number so refused to answer.

I did take a call from them on the 5th, at work, and during that call I requested that they stop calling the work number and only correspond with me via post. (I'm on a DMP with Payplan who had sent out all the correspondence to my creditors at the start of Feb) I also refused to discuss anything they had to say.So guess which nice little letter will be winging its way to them... Oh yes, that great one on here about telephone harassment, I should have sent them it a while back now after the constant calls to my mobile.

The cheek of it was even after me requesting them to stop calling etc, the guy on the phone still tried to rattle on about whatever it was he was initially trying to say. Hmmm how about you take the hint sunshine? I've also found out they've been calling my parents' place looking for me, despite the fact they know I've not lived there for years  So they were also told not to phone their number either.

All of this will be going down in the letter. So will the fact that as yet, they have failed to send out details of their complaints procedure as I requested during that call.

Why can't some people just accept that no means no??

  • Citi are terrible. They rang my parents' house looking for my fiance the other month. They rang at 8.30am and then right up till 9pm. Mad. Becuase he was 70p over his limit. And how did they get THAT phone number? Because he once rang from their house to pay his bill. They stole the number the cheeky ********

Maybe because some people have a job to do?
  • Even after they've been told not to, and they've been fully informed of the situation?

And yet they pick and choose which bits of their job to do... like ignoring my previous requests and not sending out their complaints information? It'd be a bit better if they had actually sent the information, but their attitude of "ignore everything and just do what we want" its what's annoyed me.

  • I used to work in Customer Services for RBS so I know what its like on the other side of things too. I can honestly say that if a customer asked for something to be sent out, they got it, no matter how rude they'd been or if they'd stretched a simple inquiry into an age on the phone. So glad I'm not involved in the mess its in now! I know how their charges worked and I did sympathise with a lot of my customers about their charges, I'd always do my best to either get some or all of them refunded or at the very least I'd keep an eye on things to make sure they didn't get hit with any further charges. :)
Then again, that was Customer Services I was in, not the harassment (aka Sales) dept!
