Self employed accounts programme

Can any one recommend a simple to accounts package for a small self employed business. One to record sales, purchases etc but not necessarily to generate invoices since there are so few!

If you have microsoft excel though it's not that difficult to construct a simple spreadhsheet to keep track of things, especially if you don't have that many transactions.

Accountz have a business software package (I've never used it, but I've had the personal accounts version for a few years).

agreed excel is great for this type of recording and you can design it how you need.

TAS Books do a free package, Basic - does most things but doesn't print invoices. I've used a number of accounts packages and this is pretty straightforward,
