    Absolutely correct about the sofas. I got them on a brilliant deal, reduced to clear and with the years interest free. I was hoping to pay them off in febraury, except my lodger moved out to her parents and her rent was going to cover at least half of it for one month... .

    Hopefully another mate of mine might be moving in in which case, this will be one of the first things I pay off!!

  • Just thouht I'd add I know what you mean about the dvd rentals being your social life!

    But... i am a huuuge dvd tart, i've been through loads of free trials. Even now that I pay, I only pay when i can take up a new offer - which these companies send you a little while after you cancel to tempt you back in. Then when the offer has expired, I cancel, and wait for another offer to come through.

    Its worth cancelling to try and get new deals.

    I do exactly the same! Right now I am on a 3 months for the price of 1 deal with lovefilm.

    NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!

    Yes, sorry thanks for clafyfying, it is a shared ownership property, so half to the mortgage co and half for the rent i couldnt get mortgaged on!

    Thanks for the tip on dvd tarting - might look into that!!
