im a student with a student ovrdraft which i have gone over, i had a letter from my bank asking me to ring them to discuss it and all they could tell me is that they would be cancelling my overdraft sometime soon - i knewi shouldnt have phoned them! my overdraft is £1000 i cant afford to pay it back in a lump sum like they are asking and all my bills come out of that account. I am also late paying payday loans - shouldnt have taken them out in the first place i know! i have got a poor credit rating so cant open another bank account or get a credit card or loan to cover it! Im starting e new job soon but the money wont be in my bank soon enough, i told the bank this and to be honest they didnt seem like they wanted to help me!

you can get a Natwest Basic or Co-op account many people on here have. I would suggest doing so before your next paypay plus give Payplan or CCCS a ring you could get into a DMP0

If you go into a branch and explain you just want a basic current account, no overdraft or cheque guarantee card, most of them will do it. They aren't giving you a credit facility. It's worth asking. The payday loan one is such a toughie, I fell into that trap too so I know how you are feeling, but if you knuckle down and take all the advice you are offered on here you will soon start feeling better. Have you tried calling CCCS? they really are great x xDebt busting! Jan 2014 £7632.50 £7445.80
