Pigsback Boots vouchers question...

Stupid question alert:

I have no clue where to post this, so feel free to move it.

I've just landed myself £15 of Boots vouchers off Pigsback. Thankyou to this site for introducing me to it! :)

I am living on a very tight budget to try and pay my debt off, and want to use these vouchers to get dead cheap toiletries that I'd buy anyway.

Does anyone know if Boots give you change for the vouchers - ie. £1 vouchers or something?

I want to fill up on their 69p shampoo and conditioner but I don't think they'll have enough on the shelves!

I have one £5 voucher which is not so bad but it's the £10 one (ordered but not arrived as yet, so i may get lucky and it'll be two £5's) that worries me.

  • Hi,

according to the vouchers sitting in my wallet, change to the value of £1 or more will be given in vouchers.

Also, you may well get two £5 vouchers. I recently received £30 of Boots vouchers from Pigsback and was sent six £5 vouchers.

Boots are starting to do more and more in their basics range, maybe you could stock up on things out of that to use the vouchers. The stuffkeeps for ages and if its things you would be buying anyway then you are stillsaving in the long term.

Pigsback are likely to send you 2x £5 vouchers; that's what I've always had from them.

In Boots at the moment, if you do spend £10 in one go (even if you pay with a voucher!), you will receive a £5 off voucher for certain skincare brands (some items cost less than £5, so effectively another freebie for you). Might be a nice way for you to treat yourself (or a partner - sorry don't know if you're male or female :o ) for free! :)

And you do have a Boots card, right? As you will earn points even if you're paying with vouchers.

And please do read the Boots thread on Grabbit (the first post has all the current bargains). :D

Oh yes, and if there's not enough stuff that you want on the shelf, you can always ask them if they have anymore at the back - they often do! (Sorry, that was a bit obvious! :o)
  • i had £60 of boots vouchers from pigsback, all fives so that's what you'll get i think.

kinda off on a tangent but do boots give out gift vouchers when you return something (without a receipt)? just wondered because couldn't you buy something for a tenner on bogof with your gift vouchers, then wait a couple of weeks till its the normal price then take them back seperately and get £20 in gift vouchers back?

of course i am dreaming because if this worked i think i would make it my full time job!!
    It's definitely not definately!
