Hi guys, i have had an MSE hunt but cant find what im looking for. this morning our tv has gone kaput! it ooks very pretty with all the colours on but its not really going to work lol!!
Really i would like LCD as ive heard they are better then plasma, and i also know from family that 42 inch will be the best size.
I dont want to and cant afford to spend a fortune. i think £600 would really be a total maximum. We will have to go out shopping this afternoons.
i dont understand ANY JARGON at all!!! i wont retend lol!!! so please keep it simpe as to what i/we should really be looking for thank you.
and if someone can reccommend a different thread i can be in and would get some feedback it would be much appreciated. thanks folks!! xxx

I got a 42 inch LG from Currys for £420. At the time they were doing a price match against Empire Direct - then offering 10% better. However, Empire Direct have now gone bust, so not sure if they'll still do it.
Great picture, make sure you get an HDMI cable for watching dvds though, vastly improves the quality. You can get unbranded ones for about £8 from play.com
Hope this helps!

Would go for this with free delivery:

John Lewis are really good
they price match and their
TV s all have a free five year
warrenty,loads of choice too:j:j:j0 -
Ah, but the Brit Awards-attending OP says she needs the TV "today" - so play.com and a JL pricematch won't do. Find the model you want, feed it into pricerunner.co.uk, and if there's a discount retailer nearby, drive over in a large-ish car and get the thing.0
