My friend is saving for her deposit for her first house and I have been giving her advice after reading the info given on here. I have told her to get together 40%. She is looking for a 5 bed room detached house to buy at the bottom of the house price crash. Using the info here on this forum I have worked out the price of this type of house at the bottom and to get her 40% she will have to save about £2000. Do you thing 40% will be enough or will she need more during the worst of the crash?
When the bloody hell is nelly coming back?

Not sure im with you,40% £2000?even if you mean £20,000 that would mean getting a 5 bed detatched house for around £50,000 if they go that low i may as well set fire to my 3 bed terrace....0

Two options:
a) you made a typing mistake and meant £20,000
or
b) you're making an ironic, sarcastic point about the negativity on this board.
I hope it's not option b as that's my job.0 -

If your house burns down anytime soon for whatever reason (god forbid) be sure to come on here and delete this post.0 -
WHAT?!! I have told her that she will get one for £50,00 (or £60,00 as she is thinking of moving to london). I do hope you guys are joking. She has set her hopes on it and has already got all the new stuff for it from the new ideal homes exhibition, barbed wire, steel doors, wind generator, shot gun, gun turret, and masses of canned food. She will be upset but then again she is getting sacked tomorrow so it may not be a good idea anyway. When the bloody hell is nelly coming back?0

How many pictures of people with their hands in socks do you have Brodders?0 -
If she can save another £2.50 it would really help. Can she stay @ home for another 5 minutes or is she in a rush?0
