Open & Direct Help!!!!

Hi All.
A few years ago I got duped into a finance agreanebt with open & Direct through CarCraft for £2776 (Nov 2006), I have not paid anything towards this at all.
I started to get some letters from agencies and eventually replied to Scot call (Jan 09) with the standard letter from this site asking for proof. They responded by telling me they were no longer dealing wtih this debt.
I logged onto cerdit expert and the debt keeps getting updated but the status ha not changed from 6 late paymets -> no defualt notice.
I wrote to Open and Direct with no answer and have had no more letters so Im confused as to what to do next. I want this debt gone but I don't know how to go about it. Can anyone help?

It won't go until you pay it. How come you have never paid anything towards it?
