Od - Cca

Hi

am i reading snippets correctly that ODs do not require a cca?

i only ask as having discussed with CCCS today, the fact my curent acc with RBS is apparantly now with irwin mitchell, and weeks and months are passing, and nobody can confirm exactkly where it is or balance, CCCS said they will continue to pay rbs but i should send off a template letter they provided

it basically states a requirement to send the cca within 12 days and confim details of all interest and charges - i am to enclose a £1

not a lot of point if CCAs are not required for ODs

Thanks

  • Seems pretty unusual IMHO that CCCS would give you that advice. As they do know what they are talking about.
but i should send off a template letter they provided

Well, they never supplied me with any template letters and I've been with them now for over a year. :) Sure it was the CCCS? Just checking.

But, no, overdrafts are not covered with a consumer credit agreement. Generally.

So, I am unsure as to why you are saying CCCS apparently told you to send a letter and are sending you a template letter. Because I have to say IMHO CCCS isn't usually inclined to tell you do that. Confused. Again. :) Toodle pip.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.
  • Hi,

Overdrafts are not covered by the CCA. My Abbey OD was the only debt I couldn't CCA - Robinson Way did settle for £368 on a £1840 balance (20% offer).
  • Yes, what they said above. So am even more confounded now why CCCS would tell you to do that.

half hour later it turned up - yes it was cccs

the thing is though i never mentioned CCA i simply ask for a view on how I can trace whats happening to the debt and ensure the moeny i am paying is being cvredited appropriatelky....

    thanks

Whatever. Are we supposed to be telepathic on MSE and KNOW this is what you mean or something? People can only reply based on what you post. Simple.

Is there really any need for you to be so rude Merlin?

You have a habit of continually being offensive within your posts, especially to newbies, tbh, it's becoming a little tiresome.

It's worth bearing in mind, members have come here for support under very extreme circumstances, try being a little more patient,
