I have ordered some simple items too, to get the free gift. I also noticed the sites was not as secure as I thought and postedt the follwoing comment on their feedback forms:

"Payments for goods ARE NOT made thru a secure method, as claimed by your website. Not only does the padlock icon not appear on the payment page, secure websites also have ULR starting with https. Care to explain why your website does not employ the same security measures as others?"

I'll let you know what, if anything, they respond.

my quidco error-report form still listed £4 as the cashback rate.
maybe can still expect £4 from quidco.

so 1.95 + 3.95 - 1.18 cashback = around 4.72 for the bags and pencil, although my cashback figure is skewed at 1.14, making it 4.76.

looks like luck of the draw.

i did actually receive the bag last week, well boxed. prezzie for a friend, so didn't unwrap, but looks ok quality. no word yet on my quidco enquiry, and they filled in the transaction amount as £4. we'll see. i imagine initial cashback quote was one very rare mistake.
