Mortgage Advice

Hi,
I've been lurkingfor a while and wanted some advice.
We have sold our house and seen another that we want to buy.
Problem is me and my husband have been on credit expert and looked at our rating. My husbands is 999. Mine is 900 - perfect except for a default on an A&L personal loan. Loan was for 5.5k, paid in full when went to default in sept 2007.
We are currently with the Woolwich and they have checked our credit for us to borrow more - and the default has come up. We need to borrow as much as possible,115k being the max, due to a deposit needed of 15%.
My husband earns 21K plus 2K overtime, i earn 11K part time.
Do you think Woolwich will pass me?
We could manage if they would lend us 108k, would they do this off my husband alone?
We have ERC of 2.7k so don't want to leave but could we get the extra funds from elsewhere?
Which are more lenient lenders?
Sorry for the many questions,
Emily
