Webhost Reseller?

Hi,
I am interested in what's involved in becoming a webhost reseller. I would like to make a bit more money each month and thought this might be a good way of doing it
What does it cost?
How much time does it take?
How much money can you make from it?
What's a good web host to get a reseller package from?
Any help or advice by posting a reply here or sending me a pm would be much appreciated

There's no money in it. The big hosts are too cheap.
If you're really good with web design and you know where you have customers ready, then you might make a small amount of money.
I started selling web hosting a few years ago and it didn't last for more than a year.0 -
I'd mostly agree with williham that there's not a lot of money to be made in it, unless you've *lots* of clients, in which case it becomes a full time job supporting them.
You can make a wee bit of extra cash at it though, and if that's your aim, it's well worth it. I've been reselling webspace from clook.net (an excellent UK based hosting company) for about 5 years now, have around 30 customers, and make a small bit of pocket money doing it. It also means that the hosting costs for my own personal sites are covered, which is nice.
I have a real, paid full-time job, and wouldn't rely on the hosting for anything other than beer money, but it's a fairly hassle free way to make a few quid a month extra cash.
PM me if you want more info about my setup.

hi there , ive done this before and like the others said it really is a dead market unless youve got them q'ing round the block because it is very cheap with web design there can be alot of money made depending on how good you are there are alot of cowboys going round atm with poorly made sites charing 100's for , if you want to give it a try i suggest host gator (google) they have like a reseller plan something along the lines of 45GB diskspace Unlimted Bandwidth and so on unlimted sql's but the best part is you get the Cpanel reseller version which you can make accounts for customers and it automatically emails them theyre account details and you can set limits and they also get a version of cpanel which is great i found its about 20 quid a month with a .com for you too .
hope it helps:jEmpire Stores - [STRIKE]2400[/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]1900[/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]1230[/STRIKE] - [STRIKE]780 [/STRIKE]
