Dubious Tesco BOGOF

There is currently a BOGOF offer running on a selection of cakes.
Treacle cake/Jamaican Ginger cake/French fancies/Tesco Easter chocolate roll/plus a few others.
You'll find it in the bakery section.
It's the usual thing with BOGOF - you get the cheapest free.
So, when buying multiple pairs of items, the till will sort all items that fall into the same BOGOF offer into descending price, and give you the bottom half of the list for free.
You can obviously get a better deal by buying the items 2 at a time in seperate transactions. (why on earth supermarkets don't make this the default behaviour is beyond me.)
The dubiousness of this particular BOGOF is in the way it's being advertised; each product is on it's own shelf, with it's own SEL. In addition there are big 'Buy One Get One Free' SELs.
The print on the labels that identifies these BOGOFs as being part of the same offer is miniscule. (6 or 8 point font!)
I very nearly picked up 2 Jamaican Ginger cakes(~1.08 each), along with 2 Tesco Easter chocolate rolls.(~1.99)
Ofcourse, I would have ended up paying £3.98, rather than the £3.07 one would expect to pay.
I hope no-one falls for this not-so-great offer.
