How to cancel the Yellow Pages

What this is all about?

With many people using free online or phone based directory enquiries to find the phone number of a local business, the paper version of the Yellow Pages can often sit unused, and it's a big waste of paper.

To prevent this, if you don't use the yearly-issued directory, it's dead simple to get taken off the mailing list.

What you need to do

Simply call 0800 671 444, give your house number and postcode, and you shouldn't receive the next copy. You can also call the same number if you ever want to be added back onto the list.

when we have to start paying for unsolicited literature put thro our doors, Royal Mail are particularly good at this? I shall be returning those instead of putting them in Bin 13 for recycling upon receipt.

Ed's ethical money saving tip of the day - Two old copies of Bristol Yellow Pages (2007/08 and 2008/09) and a Thompson Local make the perfect stand for raising my laptop to the correct height on my desk.
