Im starting University in September and im 26. I have over 16k in debt and want to go bankrupt over the next few months. Will this have any impact on my ability to get the place at the University? whether they allow it? whether student finance England allow it? any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance

No it won't affect your University place at all and yes you will still be able to get the government student loans. Though you won't be able to get student bank accounts and all the associated loans etc.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Hi David
I am not aware of any problems with getting student finance for the rules mean it cannot be included in any bankruptcy and you have to repay once you earn over £15K a year.
