mercers have denied getting any letters from either me or the cccs and sending recorded delivery proved pointless too, i refuse to speak to them on the phone and so i think email is now my only option but i cant find an address for them anywhere, does anyone have an address for them or know if they actually do have one? thanks

I have been wondering about this. They ignore me too but somehow managed to cash the cheque I sent!!
Just noticed your 1st baby was due 4 days ago, has your LO arrived yet? If not, good luck and congrats for when LO does arrive!

did they miraculously lose the letter but cash the cheque? lol! i've done 3 budget reviews with the cccs that they have denied receiving, plus they would have had a budget sent to them when the debt transferred to them so thats 4 letters from the cccs they "havent received", i've sent 2 letters (admittedly not recorded) and 1 recorded, and the post office was unable to confirm if they had or hadnt delivered it, if mercers had refused to sign for it or if the post office had just plain old lost it  awesome! i dont have a printer and waddling down the post office to send letters is a bit of a hassle at the moment as you can imagine! he still hasnt decided to arrive yet but thank you!

Send Mercers a postal order for £1 with an unaddressed note saying it is token payment for a £5000 debt with Barclays, include only a spare hotmail email account address (make one up) you will hear from them within minutes of arrival, funny that .......0

Here is the email address for the Bulk Delivery Card that companies sign for that Merlinexcalibur refers to above.
pod.team@royalmail.com
They can provide you with an attachment that shows your recorded mail transaction number and who signed for it.

Well, I shall not waste any more time, then. I have removed all the posts I made in this thread because it just gets chucked back in your face and any help - as it's free is not received gratefully; most would be thankful anyone even bothered to TBH. It's not as if people haven't done what you are going through already. Mercers is unlikely to have an email address ... the one someone provided you for Barclaycard is the only one to my knowledge so it will still get seen regardless; as to whether you will actually get a reply ... so you will only get the same run around as you have had with your letters... Googling turns up nothing, so if there was one I am sure it would turn up somewhere like CAG for example (one of the major consumer forums outside MSE and just as well known; pretty extensive source of knowledge for example) ... So, if one existed you'd assume it would be on there. But, I expect they don't know anything, either. Silly them.
The rest of the information I and Goldenjill gave was to obtain proof of your letters to them. I am afraid everyone gets this, with whatever creditor. Which is all you need TBH.
Anyway, I am sorry if I somehow wasted your time and hope you find what you are looking for in the future.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

what on earth has offended you? i cannot see any reason whatsoever for that response!
email is the easiest form of communication for me for the following reasons, hence my question - i have a small baby that takes up most of my time and no printer, i keep handwriting letters recorded delivery that the post office fails to deliver, i have tracked them through their website and claimed back the fee from them 3 times now, my train of thought is that if i can email them i can know full well it has got through without relying on a frankly rubbish 3rd party. its not as easy as printing out another letter and sending it off, handwriting takes a long time and typing i can at least do one handed, the letter i keep attempting to get through to them is the stop calls one which they have actually recieved before and acknowledged but told me its their job to call so they will continue to do so! and they do, they call 6 times a day which wakes my baby and is very stressful!
i have to say i've found many things you've posted on this board extremely useful and i'm very surprised to see such a response from such a respected board member.Mummy to

Just a suggestion but have you tried getting the number blocked?
I hate the excuse that they have a right to call it's just bullying - my husband has just submitted a complaint with Trading Standards about a DCAs harassing phone calls - maybe you could do the same? It may not stop the calls but it might make you feel better and you can tell them that you have complained about them next time they call.
The more people complain the more chance somebody will stomp on them - hopefully.0
