Proof reading work form home

Afternoon all

My friend is a fantastic proof reader but she is also agoraphobic so wants to do it from home.

She has a laptop with e-mail and internet access. Does anyone know of any good, reputable proof reading companies/jobs out there?:o

Unfortunately, there aren't many freelance proof reading jobs around. For a few bits of work, she may find things on elance.com and getafreelancer.com, but they are poorly paid.

Does she have proofreading experience? It's very hard to get freelance proofreading work without previous in-house experience or contacts, in my experience. Get your friend to take a look at this site for an idea of training, how to find work, rates of pay etc:
