You aren't posting any information to go on so you won't be able to get any decent opinions.

Do you need the stability of a fixed rate?
  • sorry, 1st post and all that! I dont need to go for a fixed, im just unsure what to do when my deal ends. I am with the halifax, so have benefited from the rate cuts, and at the minute they only have 3 deals for current borrowers, 2 fixed and 1 tracker.

I am with the Halifax and my deal came to an end in Febraury at the moment I am on their SVR rate waiting to see what offers start to come through once the rate cut/extra lending filters through from any lender as I think I will go for a fixed 5yr deal this time. Bit of a sod as my repayments went up £110.

Not really answering your question and hopefully someone will come along and post some relevant advice as I need some also ;o))
