Not a misprice. This lens is now discontinued and to be honest isn't the best but for this price who can complain? For a novice a good starter zoom to complement a kit zoom.

Can be picked up even cheaper at ToDo!

its a good price but its not amazon.co.uk selling it, so delivery would be extra and no nectar points.

The Mrs has a Canon 350D I think this take the EFS lens for the smaller sensor. I think the EF lens are made for a 35mm size sensor / film.

Will the AF and other electronics work with the 350D if I get this lens.

Also how much are the IS versions going for.

I'm after a set of cheapish lens for the 350D happy to get a range and swap Vs an all in one. Would like a macro, a zoom and perhaps a wide angle.

Had no idea the prices had come down so much. Would like to stick to Cannon lens (though would consider OEMs from Tamron et al)

Last time I look lens for the 350D were quite expensive, things have moved on...

Looks like a misprice - now at £152 at microglobe

Ha! Just realised it is the Amazon one that is cheap

Ef and EFS lenses are compatable with your Canon 350d. Ive got a 400d and both work.

IS lenses are v expensive still - but depends what your budget is I suppose.

Bought myself a 50-200mm Tamron off Amazon last week and I'm kicking myself - although the pics I've had are amazing!
  • I have this lens and it is very light and compact - would easily work on a 350d - I bought it as part of my 400d kit, but have hardly ever used it as I bought the 70-200 f4 L lens, which is much longer and heavier but much higher quality - and price!

Does the AF work even on the 350d?

Thanks for this, good find, I have ordered one from ToDo as I have been looking for a zoom lens for my Digital SLR and they are all so expensive.

Auto Focus? Of course it would. All Digital EOS SLRs and EF/EF-S lenses are auto focus.

    What a strange question.

Thanks for clearing this up. I've not purchased a separate lens before. Previous cameras have been compact.
