Hi
I have literally just been on the Next website and stupidly did not realise when registering that it was requesting a credit account - I thought it was like a normal website - argh!
All I did was fill out the first page of the registration, where I had to provide name, address, DOB and email address. Then it came up with a message saying I could not continue with registration online, it had to be done by post or on the phone.
Does this mean they will have run a credit check? I have an excellent credit rating, and I am trying to keep it that way as I want to buy a house next year! If anyone can help and let me know if it is likely they have run a check, that would be great.
Thanks!

if you were accepted/ran a credit check then it prob wont go against you
i pretty much did the same, opened up an account expecting to be able to pay by debit card but it opened a credit facility, however for me it was great in boosting my credit rating, i buy the odd thing from them (usually in the sale) pay it off straight away and it reports back to the CRA0 -
Yes they run a credit check when you apply for an account but one check isnt going to affect your credit report enough for you not to get a mortgage. If anything opening an account and making payments on time should help your credit rating.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
