Data entry

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way of earning some money ideally working from home via internet. I've seen some info and links about doing data entry, which in theory would fit in pretty well with the time I have available, however all the links I've clicked on seem to be scams where they want money up front.
Does anyone do this from home or can you recommend any reputable companies or sites for me to look into.
Thanks for your help.

I've investigated this before. I can't remember the sites I found but there are ppl who will bid for the jobs at criminally low rates so you aren't likely to earn much, unless you like working for less than 50p an hour.

That may just be my experience though.

Data entry jobs (from home) DO NOT exist my friends. My fiancee searched high & low for them and for many years - in the end she got scammed by a company and has never looked since (she now has a very good work from home job doing something else.) DO NOT trust any company promising "Make £££ from home" or "Pay us £50 now and get £1000 per week in return". It's all a lot of c**p and they are scam artists of the highest degree.

I second that - can you say what your fiancee does? Any ideas on work from home jobs would be very gratefully received. Thanks

There are a couple of potential bits in the Boost Your Income article.

Otherwise what skills /job history do you have? Might be easier to make suggestions then.

    Hi
Thanks for the link, will have a look. My background is from the Post Office, where I worked for many years as a manager in a variety of roles. I have good admin skills, customer service, able to deal with people at all levels, am fairly computer literate. I suppose my downfall is that I don't have qualifications to back up all of my skills. I don't really want to get into anything particularly sales related as I just don't enjoy it. I've been out of the workplace now for 4 years while I've been raising my daughters, who are now in nursery and due to start school full time in september, so I'll have more time available then.
    Any suggestions appreciated thanks.
