Hi - I want to pre-order 2x nintendo DSi's. Does anyone know where the best offers are? I know Argos will supply an accessories kit free if you pre order with them. Has anyone heard of any other other offers as I'm sure my children will want to choose their own cases etc .... thanks in advance

Hi, I saw in the paper that if you own a ds you could trade it in for the new dsi at half price £74.99 at Game. Not sure wether your kids have the ds but looks agood deal!!0

Hi - thanks for the quick reply. I think that offer is just for the Ds lite though. My two still have their original DS's (we bought them when they first came out and they have proved very robust!!) A few of our friends got the DS lite for their children and some of them broke very quickly, they came apart in two sections!! It's my main concern about spending £300 quid on two portable consoles!!! The casing on the original one was much more solid. Still my two are a lot older now.... and hopefully more careful with things! (I wish!!):rotfl: :rotfl:

Ive had a look around but am going with the argos offer. I feel reassured using Argos at the moment and im not saying no to a free accessory kit! DS is only 6 (on the day of release) so this is his first one xComping addict since 2007 - still waiting for 'the big one' :j0

Hi - yeah I know what you mean about Argos, hopefully they will be here to stay. I love ARGOS!! I've only seen them a couple of quid cheaper in HMV but not with any extras - I think I will be going with Argos too!! Does anyone know if Argos are good with pre-orders etc??? I'd hate to rely on one store to be let down on the day. Game seem to be pretty good (got me my WII !!) and there is a Game, Argos and HMV in my town. Do Boots do pre -orders for DSi's? I'm off to have a look!!!:D
UPDATE : doesn't look like Boots do it and there is a £5.80 home delivery charge with Argos. Also only ONE per customer. I need two for my kids... do I take the risk of ordering one on my card and one on my DH and hoping we get both of them. There will be murder in my house if we only get our hands on one. I'm off to check out HMV now...:rotfl: :rotfl:

£149.99 with free postage and free accessory pack, though different to the Argos one.
Also Dixon's are doing a voucher until March £20 so it's post free for £141.80 - check this great link for more info. that I found off the Topcasback site, where you can get money back too!

Both offers look better than Argos, as I am looking at one for my son who wants to spend his saved up money to "waste" on this!
I think that there is a one unit purchase limit on one site I've seen, but with these options, you should be okay to buy one from each site if needs be.0 -
In our local Game ( Milton keynes) this week they've been doing a deal where you can trade in your DS Lite and ANY 6 games for a straight swap on a DSi.
For us this is an amazing offer as we have 3 ds's in our house, all of which are out of warranty. One is 2 and a half yrs old, another nearly 2 yrs and the 3rd is just over a year. My kids have about 30ish games between them, a lot of them they don't play or have completed so the 6 games trade in is no problem. Even if you don't have 6 games you want to trade in you can get some games for £4.99 in Gamestation etc and so basically it could cost you £30 to upgrade and get a new DSi with full warranty!!:j
They are just taking a £20 deposit to secure the DSi and then when it's released on friday and you trade in your DS they refund you the £20!!Busy mummy of 4.:j0
