Loans before April 2007

Hi guys. My girlfriend is currently paying off a £17k loan that she took out before April 2007 and with work issues is struggling to the point where life is always stressful to the extreme and she has 4 years left of this ridiculous % interest loan. I have read that around 90% of loan agreements written up before April 2007 were unenforcable due to some incorrect details.

I have googled this and found many companies 'claiming' to be able to clear the loan completely but charge between £200-500 and IF they are unsuccessful they will refund the money apart from a small admin fee (between £25-50)

I was just wondering if anyone here had given the banks a bit of their own medicine and been successful with a trusted company? If so, if you wouldn't mind sending me their details it would be greatly appreciated. I just really want to her my girlfriend sort her finances out. If you would prefer to keep your identity hidden, feel free to drop me a PM instead.

Regards

I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.

I think you will find contributors to these forums are extremely cynical about this particular subject. Have a look round and see what you think.

Hey I am a claims professional and I dont even believe the hype so why should anyone else ?.
You usually see such numbers bandied around by people charging large fees up front to assess your case. The actual percentage of cases is likely to be far lower than the one quoted

I told you ppl dont like talking about it! It cos their claims failed most likely OR they think they are better than others and they make judgments when ppl try to make the best of a bad situation.

they most likely dont have the brains to or guts to go thru with it themselves so they hound the ppl that are interested.

Or these brainless people found a job, earned money, spent what they were paid, took a few loans out, repaid them, saved a few bob and now have to bail out the brainy ones by paying higher interest rates.
