compensation for postal strike? (merged discussion)

how do you go about getting compo for something that can't be measured in financial terms, eg, losing property i wanted cos did not receive formal mortgage offer in time, also delayed my ex-oh-to-be from moving out of marital home and causing unnecessary stress?

any ideas please?

Might need a solicitor for that one.... You could probably argue many thousands in damages, but whether they will pay up (especially if it wasnt special delivery) is another matter.

rumours are going round that royal mail have to give £10 for every late item of post. has anyone got any details of criteria for compo.
