I am 27 and have not paid my credit card bill for over a year now (I know Im silly but iv just put my head in the sand) and the bank have passed on my debt to Allied ltd and they have told me that I have to pay the whole amount of my credit card debt or they will take me to court. I told them that it was not possible and that I could pay some back over a couple of months but he wanted me to pay it back outright which was not an option for me.
They were really rude.
can not sleep and getting really down.
I work for a agency and Im trying to get a full time job but its not poss in my area and in cardiff where I live.
I wrote them a letter telling them how much I have coming in and out every month and said that i could pay £100 pound each week. i am really scared pls can someone help me.... HELP

Well done for seeking help here. Hang in there, you'll get loads of advice here (i wouldn't know what to advise for the best).
Acknowledging the debt is the scary thing so give yourself a pat on the back for doing so.
It will be ok

Hi Lucina
Send them a postal order for what you
can afford each week/month. Dont let them bully
you. If they do take it further you
will to show that you have not
been ignoring the debt and have paid what
you can afford.
Someone with more knowledge will be along soon

unless they take you to court they cant

I know its easy for me to say but try and not panic! If you have acknowledged the debt and are willing to pay what you can afford i would have thought the credit card company would be willing to take something rather than nothing.
As for the hubby...... its a stressful time for you and you will begin to sleep at night again when you get this under control and work out how much you can afford to pay them each month or week. Have you contacted the CAB or CCCS or anyone like that? They can approach the credit card company on your behalf if you don't feel strong enough to do it yourself.
You'll get good advice on here and i would nearly promise you that you will find the worry easing and you'll sleep better at night when you are back in control of the card again rather than them controlling you.
It will be ok
Am thinking of you

Well done for finally getting your head out of the sand - remember we have all been ostriches at some point! Get that advice from CAB or CCCS or Payplan, the help is there if you ask for it. Also suggest you cut up your credit card(s) - tough, I know, but you could be tempted again one day. And start looking at your income and expenditure to see where you can make savings. If you feel up to it, you can post details on this forum in the form of a statement of affairs (SOA) and see if anyone has suggestions that might help. One life - your life - live it!0
