Claiming tax back from the 07/08 year

in Cutting tax
Hi within the 07/08 year I was employed for 6 months full-time whilst on the tax code (522L X). I need someone to tell me if this is the emergency tax code for that year and whether I'm eligible to claim anything back, if so would it be worth it for just 6 months?. Since then I've had 1 job which I left and have just also started a new job since last month and both have been on the tax code (603 L).
A friend told me I was on emergency tax for the 07/08 year but I wanted to find out more info before I contact the tax office.
If anyone could give me advice on what to do it would be great.

The easiest thing to do, is add up all the income you have, deduct your personal allowance (can be taken from your actual tax code) then calculate 20% (if you aren't a higher rate tax payer). Add up all the tax you paid and see if the two figures are the same.0

For 07-08 you take your personal allowance, £5225 from your total pay. the first 2330 is taxed at 10% and the rest at 22%. You should have claimed this refund ages ago!£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
