Anyone else considering a 5yr/10yr fixed rate mortgage?

    Is there any way you could make overpayments on your mortgage to increase your equity and make sure that you get the 75% LTV?

    maybe but my concern would be that house prices may fall faster than we can overpay and in the meantime fixed rates could be rising.

    I have a backup plan to pay a lump sum off the mortgage (have up to £10K available) if we just miss 75%, but that is another story.

    existing provider will not lend as their online calculator says we have >75% ltv
