im only 6 months into my subscription but moving house so means I have to cancel (house im moving to already has it)
do you know what the fee is? is it just a case of paying off the remaining 6 months? should i switch to the lowest monthly rate for tv and broadband then cancel?
also what happens with my dish, sky+ box, router... do they ask for these back? I know when I got my sky+ box i was told it was mine to keep

They are devious little so and so's like Virgin. If you downgrade you actually start a NEW 1 year contract and so if you cancel you owe a years subscription charge. Your best bet (if you are going to use them again) is to contact them and explain you are moving but are going to subscribe in your new house and se what they can do for you.0

You wont have a new contract for downgrading Ive done it several times. They will make you pay for the next 6 months and will actually suggest to you to downgrade your packageWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

thanks, what happens with the dish, do i just leave it there for them to collect or take it with me?
You leave it, it is your to keep.
BUT.......
If you are renting check with your LL to ensure this is okay, if you have sold you house, did you put this in with the F&F list? Not normally a problem but I have known one buyer get upset about the dish on this house & charge the seller for removal. These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -
you can also just transfer your sky to your new property we was offered this they tried to charge us £50 but we battled them down to having it done for free onceWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

cant you cancel the subs at the home you're moving to and keep yours going?
just take the box with you and plug it in0 -
When you say the house you are moving to already has Sky what do you mean ?
If its just got the dish installed take your box with you as its yours and just plug it in, you dont need to cancell the subscription0
