Starting out on a new path!

Well, I've made the first step. Called Payplan to sort out my income and expenditure, and have agreed on a Debt Management Plan.

Next step is sending out token payments, and cancelling direct debits!

Wish me luck! And I will update as I go along!

This site is a lifesaver!

  • Well, got 8 items on ebay, good start. Kind of theraputic!

Had a wee drama with a bank charge from the Halifax. Didn't realise that paypal had a dd on my account. Despite phoning and asking if I had any dd on my account and being told no. But I stated my case and as a goodwill gesture they will waive the fee this time! Phew!

Still getting set up through Payplan and my first payment goes out on 1st April! eeeek!

    Hope everyone is well!

Congratulations on starting your debt-free journey! Also, good luck with the ebaying. I've just this week become a seller after the advice on this site.

Debt Free Date: doesn't bear thinking about!
  • Early February, I phoned up to change the date for my car isurance from 24th of the month to the 28th of the month (payday!) and despite telling me it would be changed, nothing was done.

    Result, overdrawn this morning!

Called the insurance company when I got into work, and the date has now been changed. The DD will be recalled too. On the upside, if I recieve any charges from my bank, they will re-imburse me.

The fun and games never ends!

  • Another awesome start to the day!

Didn't realise my bus ticket had increased by £1. Only had the old fare on me. Had to borrow £1 from a girl I know who gets on the bus!

    Doh!
