i think this comp may be a dupe- i entered one with same amount, answer and end date, last week - entry done on the 10th, may have been posted that day or day before?

(yes- i log my comp entries.. sad isnt it! )

its not a dupe - it is last weeks comp, it just keeps getting pointlessly bumped:D

Can the OP in future in these comps please put in their first post an instruction:

There is no reason for these and they add confusion to the board. If you wish to discuss it these please post in the Compers Inn thread. If you wish to thank the OP then please JUST CLICK THE THANKS BUTTON.

I dont see why I should have to put that in the OP to be honest - people should know not to bump pointlessly if they read the compers guide/instructions:D

In another forum they delete any unneccessary replies or the thanks for entering ones, makes it alot easier for people to navigate

Makes you wonder whether some of the people saying thanks for entering or bumping are just trying to get their thanks/post count up - hence why I rarely now thank people that have pointlessly thanked my posts and bumped it up

I did reply to one bump the other week that had thanked me for posting by saying 'thanks for the thanks'

I'm sorry I don't want to cause another argument or 'bump' the thread yet again but why does it always seem to be 'new' people that get moaned at for bumping a thread and not regulars?

If I tell a regular not to bump the thread I'm the one that gets moaned at, there should be the same rules for everyone :mad:

think regulars know not to bump the thread - it tends to be more newbies cos thats who generally do it as they arent aware of the rules/general usage etc of the forum
