I also did lots and lots of garden stuff until it got too cold and windy to do anymore. Still far from weed free but some important bits of pruning done. Fingers crossed for a nice clear day tomorrow.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Coooeeee Toots - I deserve a gold star for the work on my bedroom today if you have a moment...
Brilliant drying day today - the two throws are off the line and back on the furniture. I won't get a star for the living room because there's too much woodwork to wash. If the weather's fair tomorrow, I might just do my bedroom curtains.
Just nipped round to NN's to take her ground beans back (she'd mistakenly bought coffee beans instead of ground coffee so I took the beans home last night and have ground them up for her this afternoon) .
Dotty old woman upstairs is back in hospital. It's so sad. Apparently OG thought she went to the bedroom last night for a nap. He goes in 45 minutes later to find she'd picked off all the plaster on her broken wrist. He phoned the hospital to ask for advice and they said bring her in. He felt he couldn't drive and keep an eye on her at the same time so they sent out an ambulance.
The hospital believe the time has come for her to be in a nursing home. But, the local authority don't have any spare beds! The hospital don't want her there any longer than needs be (they can't keep an eye on her 24/7 and if she wandered off when someone's back was turned, there'd be no end of problems). So poor OG is at his wits end. Good thing is, apparently, the daughter has deigned to drive down from London so hopefully will be able to sort something out to the benefit of all.
Such a sad, sad, condition to be in.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
