why are they using a picture of mouldy bread? :rotfl:0

alas, it is not the 255 which has the special beeper so you can put in raisins nd nuts at the right time.....
i shall have to continue relying on Waitrose yellow stickers for my luxury bread0 -

It isn't £70 elsewhere - they've used a different model to compare prices with! The model they're selling doesn't seem to be available anywhere else anymore (it seems to be quite old).0 -

That's the SD-254, Chris, the model Boffer are selling is the SD-252, which seems to be a very old model and not for sale anywhere else...

It's a good price but the machine is far from perfect.
1/ The quick bake produces what resembles a 'part cooked' loaf. Called them about it and was told that they knew the program was too short by 10 mins, but they had to make it too short to meet the time targets they had been set even though the program was useless. I asked how i could make it do 2hrs 5mins instead of 1hr 55mins and you can't. They suggested finishing it off in the oven!
2/ The big paddle parks randomly across the bread. Should be finer and park inline with the cut to affect as few slices as possible. Complained and they said it was an oversight on the control software.
3/ The paddle gets baked in place and requires soaking to remove it.
4/ No short kneed program for dough.
5/ Dough is often left at one side/end after kneeding leeding to mis-shaped loaf as in picture.
I have other 'opinions' but the above is fact. Having mentioned the design shortfalls, the bread tastes good on the 'full' programs.0
