Use Freecycle

Hi, Maybe I'm just a bit thick but I cannot find any user instructions for Freecycle?
I am looking at one or two things I could really use ans I have some paving slabs to add. But How?

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you registered yet? You have to do that before you can offer or request anything.

I have registered and about a week ago someone was offering a compost bin I could put to good use. I emailed them but had no response.
Is this what I am supposed to do?

Ah Ha!
In answer to my own question I have just logged on to my Yahoo email aDdress and found 1975 emails!!! I kid you not!
I see a few of these are HELP mails so here's to a busy night reading!

It sounds like you did it right then, if you got as far as replying to the offerer. Unfortunately people don't always acknowledge all requests, but they should post a "Taken" note on the board if it has gone, or that's what they do on my local site anyway.

Perhaps you should list your offered slabs before requesting something, as that is considered the appropriate thing to do. Have you worked out how to do that?
