Oregon weatherproof action camera in Toysrus for £49.99 (not online as I can see). They were £79.99 and you sometimes see them used on the Gadget show. Even used ones sell for £50 on e-bay so seems a good deal.

I've had one of these for a few years now. I put it on the handlebars of my bike, just in case somebody pulls out in front of me, cuts me up, opens their door on me, etc. If I should happen to have an accident and anybody wants to know what happened, I can show them exactly what happened.
The quality is OK, as long as you've got enough light. It's rubbish once it starts to get a bit dark. Numberplates are picked up but only at fairly close range.
At first a 2GB card gave me almost two hours of filming at high resolution. For some reason I now only get about one hour, even with a new card.
Generally this is a good buy. There are better such cameras available now but they are more expensive.0
