have been looking to remortgage for the last couple of months as my fixed rate of 5.69 from natwest finishes in may 2009 .i have tried all the compare mortgage sites read as much as i can about it.after all this time im no better of in knowing what way to go so was wondering if you was me what would you do
house worth £310000 (was 6 months ago)
mortgage needed £90000
savings £5000
was looking at offset but to be honest not really bothered just need to keep my monthly cost's down as money is tight we are looking to down size in 2 or 3 years so maybe interest only as probably get rid of the mortgage completely if all goes well and get smaller house .can show 3 years accounts soim hoping i should be able to get the mortgage
which way would you go
thanks in advance

Natwest has some decent deals. Might be the cheapest and simplest for you: no house revaluation, no solicitors and legal fees and no proof of income needed.
All you would have to pay would be the product fee.RIP independent MSE.

Whats the follow on rate, do you really need to remortgage and incur fess for a 2-3 year deal.
House prices are dropping, so you will be releasing less cash if you wait to down size in a couple of years.0 -
you would be right in what your saying but i missed out a couple of things that makes a little different
mortgage £70000 with natwest
loans,credit cards £20000
TOTAL £90000
monthly bills for above are £1000 now i was thinking that if i took interest only for the 2 to 3 years i would be much better of monthly as partner has now been out of work for the last 2 years (ill health )hense the dept im sorryi didnt give all the details but i think it does make a difference
thanks again0 -
