One world currency

If the economy doesn't/can't turn around, would the governments throughout the world make a new world currency to wipe the slate clean? Can this be done? Or will we just see and live through a global reccession similar to that of the 30's?

I love the idea of a one world currency, and even so far as thinking of an international minimum wage.

There is next ot no chance of this ever happening- it would take a lifetime to even get them all around a table. PLus the "wealth" that is created from international currency trading- invisible money almost- would be wiped out. and no country really wants that....
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

The OP actually posted a statement and an alternative. It wasn't a yes/no question, more a multiple choice. Unless you were saying No to both of course, in which case I should head off back to the Moneysavers. QuasarsSock is buying me a pint.
